Prairie Liberation Center

The Prairie Liberation Center (PLC) is designed to be a welcoming and encouraging place to build community connections and support local organizers. We host events to educate and activate folks around struggles that are local, national, and even international. We bring local organizers together to plan and execute actions designed to raise the class consciousness of community members in an effort to build a strong, working-class movement for radical change.

The PLC was established by the Central Illinois branch of the Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL) to establish infrastructure for folks to get more involved in local organizing and to be a community space for progressive organizers in Champaign County and beyond.

PSL is a revolutionary socialist organization and distinct from the PLC. PSL organizers in Champaign-Urbana are active in a variety of struggles, unions, and communities.
